| Sturgis report now in hands of state's attorney |

A report concerning allegations that the City of Sturgis used public funds to influence a public vote last month is now in the hands of the Meade County state's attorney. The state Division of Criminal Investigation was charged with looking into the accusations. Wednesday afternoon.Based on that report, Sondreal must decide if the allegations have merit, have no merit or require further investigation. He says he expects to make a decision next week. Sturgis Mayor Maury LaRue came out Wednesday denying that the city did anything wrong. Julie Oberlander |
