Megan Palera joined Black Hills FOX in 2007 and currently anchors the weekend news at 9. She first came on board as a producer/reporter and worked her way up.
Megan is an award-winning journalist at KEVN. In 2010, her series on the meth epidemic in Gillette, Wyoming earned her top honors in the Great Plains Associated Press Broadcast Contest.
Megan graduated with distinction from the Pennsylvania State University in 2007 where she earned degrees in both Broadcast Journalism and Sociology. She was also co-captain of the women's swim team and a member of the 2005 and 2006 Big Ten Championship teams. WE ARE ... Penn State!
Outside of work, Megan donates her time to Volunteers of America, a local non-profit organization helping others, help themsevles. She is also a big sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Black Hills and has helped to mentor students in the classroom. Now that her swimming career is over, Megan has taken up running and is now addicted to marathons.
