 Al Van Zee is a South Dakota native who got his start in television in 1979 as a reporter and photographer at KSFY in Sioux Falls.
Since then he has worked as an anchor and reporter in television markets in Illinois and Texas. Al returned to South Dakota five years ago because, he says, it's a place where people are still sane and sensible. It doesn't hurt, of course, that the Black Hills contain some of the most beautiful places on the planet. Al's first love is the outdoors. On his time off, he spends as much time as possible in the Black Hills back country. Al is also a licensed pilot with over 1700 hours of flying time. |
